Lynda Lou MacIntyre is a Cape Breton artist who was born & raised in Sydney.

She is a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design University &
studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School.

She spent 30 years teaching art & now paints full time.

The beauty of nature has always been a source of inspiration for Lynda Lou.

When she paints, it is so that she can share her view of the world with others.

Traveling throughout Cape Breton, every turn in the road affords
new & stunning scenes just waiting to be put on paper!

Often she begins with a drawing in her sketchbook, but she also
uses a camera as a composition tool & to capture the moment.

She especially likes painting in the Highlands of Cape Breton where the
fleeting afternoon shadows & soft sunsets are particularly appealing.

Lynda Lou likes to use watercolour paints so that the colours are intense,
she sees the natural colours in nature as very vivid.

Her current work shows her preference for landscapes. seascapes & florals.
