GRAND MIRA MUSEUM
Is located in the back of St. Margaret's Church in Grand Mira

The mandate of the Grand Mira Museum is to record, preserve the music, stories and culture of the people and community of Grand Mira.

Bishop Raymond Lahey officially opened the Grand Mira Museum on May 18, 2005.

The Museum is part of a group called the Iona Connection.

On May 29, 2005 -Sheldon MacInnes & Dr. Bob Morgan came to our museum and gave a talk on the music, history, and the people of the community of Grand Mira. It was well attended and enjoyed. Tea followed.

There are several displays in the museum ranging from church items, to history books, to Genealogy books.

There will be two (2) computer systems set up this Spring to help individuals to located family members, dates of births, marriages, deaths of family members or just to look over scenic pictures of our fair community.

A sitting area is also available for those who wish to look through the material that we have gathered over the last couple of years.

We invite anyone and everyone who has an interest in history whether it is family or community history. Everyone is welcome to visit our museum.

Hopefully by late Spring, hours of operation will be in place.

If anyone has any questions regarding our museum please sign the guest book on this website or email any of the two emails that are on it.

We also have a guest book at the museum that we would hope people would sign when the visit.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE DO NOT ALLOW
ANY ITEMS OR ARTICLES THAT ARE IN OUR
MUSEUM TO BE AT ANYTIME REMOVED.
